Hollywood Animals
Exotic Animal Training School and Animal Adventures

I have always been an animal lover.  For as long as I can remember I wanted to go to school to work with exotic animals.  When I was in high school the only place in the country that offered such training was Moorpark College's Exotic Animal Training and Management program.  Unfortunately, I just could not scrape up the money to go.  Today, there are a few more places that have popped up with similar programs and I've visited a couple but none compare to what I saw at Hollywood Animals.  The thing about Hollywood animals is that they have made what I believe to be the perfect business.  Not only do they provide excellent training for those wanting to be in the business but they also provide an incredible experience for those animal lovers who have no intention of ever entering an animal related profession. And, while people like us pay for the experience (which was VERY worth it), they are educating the public as well as helping their animals get used to being around strangers, just like they have to do when on the movie sets. It's a win-win situation.

In addition, for those of you who are like me and have mixed feelings about keeping wild animals in captivity, I can only say that Hollywood Animals treats their animals better than ANY place I've been before, including most zoos.  The grounds are well kept, the animals all look and act healthy and happy and the trainers have an amazing relationship with each and every animal. I'd be a hypocrite to criticize them as I too watch the movies these and other animals are in, so I can only applaud what they have done.

Here are some pictures from our "Trainer For A Day" experience on June 15, 2004.  Just click on the individual pictures below to enlarge. Visit their website http://www.animalschool.net  for additional information on how to experience this for yourself!
